- North Carolina Problem Gambling Program - This program provides effective prevention, education, outreach, support, assessment, therapy/treatment, and therapist training throughout the state. Most people involved in gambling, betting or gaming (risking money or valuables to the outcome of a game, contest, or other event) can do so recreationally or socially, but others begin to engage more compulsively.
